Are you ready?

  • Dream it.

    You have been dreaming about feeling like you did in your 20s. You could eat anything you wanted and the scale would not yell at you.

    You were happy.

    Frustration, anxiety and depression with your body, food and fitness were fairly non-existent.

    You did not need a glass or two of wine at night just to “wind down.”

    You have given your time to everyone in your family, you are on all of the committees at work and school, you are out of energy.

    Dishrag Syndrome.

    You drag yourself out of bed, get through another hectic morning of video calls or getting the kids off to school.

    It’s 2 pm. You have drained your coffee pot, but have not taken time to eat. Chips or cheese and crackers hold you over until the evening rat race begins.

    Everyone in the family wants something different, so you go out to eat or order pizza. If it is just you, a bowl of cereal will do the trick.

    You drag yourself to bed, your makeup has not been taken off. You feel like you could sleep for days, yet you lay wide awake. Your head is spinning from the day and your to-do list for tomorrow.

    Sleep is finally yours after an hour of trying only to be awake from 2am-4am.

    5am arrives with a blaring alarm clock only to remind you it’s time to start the insanity all over again.

    Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
