I am a Certified Diabetes Educator and I have worked with other dietitians before. I was not successful, I never lost any weight. I was hesitant to work with Dana.

I was struggling with my weight, PCOS, low blood sugar, constipation and cold intolerance. I did not know changing my diet could help my PCOS.

I appreciated the positive encouragement, recipes and working through problems. I lost my Dad one month after starting with Dana. My normal coping habits wanted me to give up, Dana did not let me. She gave me time and support through one of the most difficult situations of my life.

I have lost 54 pounds and a lot of inches. I feel so much better. More energy. Thyroid labs have improved and fewer low blood sugars.

I started my journey with my health coach, Dana Cushing on September 12, 2019 for my blood sugars over 200 and my A1C had gone up to 7.2.

 My husband is diabetic also and uses insulin.

 I decided I didn’t want to ever go on insulin. 

 My first visit with Dana was so helpful.  She is such a kind person and compassionate person.  She is so knowledgeable in nutrition that she showed me a different way to live.  She explained to me what sugar does in your body and for some reason it clicked with me. 

 I was eating  tons of sugar every day and couldn’t stop. I told Dana one bite is too much and 100 is to enough. 

 I started no sugar and low carbs on that day. 

 Dana was so supportive of me and I felt that I was on a new journey for my life. 

 I am 68 years old and I had been on every diet possible and was always looking for “The Answer” all of my life.

When I had questions or struggled to understand, she was right there for me every step of the way.  As of today my blood sugars run in the 90’s and my A1C is 5.4!   I have now lost 43 pounds!  I  feel better than ever and am confident in my choices of foods even when I go out to eat. 

 People are always asking me how I have lost the weight as they are looking for “the answer” and I tell them about no sugar, low carbs and intermittent fasting. I tell them also that I have met the best nutrition educator and that she helped me start my journey for life.

 I tell them God sent me to an angel and her name is Dana Cushing and I will be forever grateful.  No more diets just a new way to live.

"I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Dana as a health coach. She supported me in numerous ways to help me develop some healthy lifestyle changes. Last summer I was at a doctors office for my yearly physical. I had gained 10 pounds over the past year. I knew I needed to do something about my weight but I have never been very successful or disciplined at following a healthy diet or an exercise plan.

When I first met with Dana I let her know what my main goals were: to lose weight, increase my exercise, get a better nights sleep, and have more energy.
