A Decision Was Made
Four weeks ago, a decision was made.
Something happened as I was getting ready for work on a “typical” Monday morning.
I had gone to the gym and had a decent workout. I was not feeling any different at that time. I came home to shower and get ready for work.
Something happened as I was halfway through drying my hair. I had to stop. A rush of emotion came over me. This is it. This had to be the day! I went out to the living room to tell my husband, Matt.
Tearful, I explained, “Today is the day. I have to put my four-week notice in at work. TODAY.” Unsure of what to expect, I just looked down at my bare feet in anticipation of his response. Being married for almost 22 years, I should have known that I would receive the most confident, supportive, and loving response. His reply was, “Okay!”
After I caught my breath, I made it to work and requested a meeting with my manager. With her great intuition, she knew what I was coming to her office for. She embraced my decision to resign my position with respect and encouragement.
I am writing this today from my new office at home. It feels surreal just like the rest of the current worldly situation.
I have been wanting to support people with weight and blood sugar management concerns on my own for the past three years. Four weeks ago, none of us could have ever imagined the state of crisis that we would be in.
I took a leap of faith and I am riding on that faith that I made the right decision.
I am excited to announce that I will be taking new clients with increased availability. My website and social media are rolling with the amazing help of Kim at Fresh Impact. The website is a work in progress, but you know where to find me. I am here to support your lifestyle, weight and blood sugar management goals. Now it will be more important than ever to take control of your health and create a foundation of a strong immune system.
I have been so blessed with support from my family, friends and work family at Sanford Women’s Internal Medicine- your notes of friendship and courage made my day. I am so grateful.♥️
